Square & Round Bale FeederChainless X5000

This model is now replaced by the Trailed Chainless TX205 round and square bale feeder

The top of the range trailed Chainless double bale feeder. The Chainless X5000 trailed square and round bale feeder is self-loading, suitable for feeding out any bale, round or square, and it maximises feed use. Designed for medium to large operations.

Benefits

  • Chainless – no troublesome feed chains is a key advantage for – Reliability, lower maintenance and quieter operation, the teasing action of the rotors uses feed more economically, because it is easier for the cattle as they can eat it because it is fluffed up. The Chainless X5000 can effectively feed out any bale type in both round or square. Chainless is a virtually silent feeding operation which means stock are more comfortable.
  • The new rotor shape has better penetratration on tight bales and the shape cleans sticky bales better. The new Axial rotor centralizes the bale in the feeding chamber, so that there is less wastage. It has more grip on sloppy, rotor cut bales which makes feeding them out easier and more efficient. The larger bale chamber makes it possible to feed out a wider range of bales, and also makes using the X5000 trailed bale feeder very simple for operators of all skill levels and reduces the need for platform adjustment.
  • The new Easy Clean Hypaflo wiper panel – The newly developed wiper panel that clears the hay from the rotors better. It has a new quick release latching system for releasing the panel to clean out any hay.
  • Total Control 2 Loading system – gives you total control over loading the bale. The simple, reliable and fool-proof single cylinder design of the Hustler loading system is safer than other loading systems and allows unwrapping of the bale above the feed cradle, reducing waste.  The Hustler loading system can be reversed if the operator decides not to load that bale. It also has more support area for soft or square bales. The X5000 square and round bale feeder has more leverage, stronger design and larger 1.5 tonne capacity.
  • Loaded with time-saving and money-saving features such as; QRC Grips, Drawbar hose holder, biggest stub axles on the market, Loadial loading indicator, Feedguide built in platform height guide and Hustler’s stamp of quality, full 2 year warranty, and much more…
  • Stability – The Chainless x5000 bale processor with its low centre of gravity and wide wheel track makes it the most stable bale feeder on the market when in operation adding peace of mind.

Feed control

Infinite variation in feed control, allows you to feed thick for cattle, thin for sheep to increase the palatability for your stock.

round bale feeder platform1-350x151

Polyethylene floor

Hustler’s proven polyethylene platforms with ribbed design keeps bales tracking straight and with 30% less friction than steel it reduces drag on the bale which makes feeding out sticky bales easier and it will never corrode. The X5000’s platform is wider to reduce waste with sloppy bales.

Low maintenance drive

The entire drive system is now located at the rear, which allows better manoeuverability. Bigger outboard bearing blocks are easily greased, larger shafts, automatic drive tensioners require no adjustments, and is designed to handle larger 1.5 tonne bales.

round bale feeder wiper-panel1-350x151

Hypaflow wiper

The Easy Clean Hypaflo Wiper Panel minimises blockages and ensures that hay drops outside the wheel tracks to avoid being flattened into the mud. A quick release latch releases the wiper panel for easy cleaning.

FeedGuide

The clear, easy to read platform height guide shows starting positions for various bale types making it easier to use for all operators.

Protective covers

Transmission covers protect against mud and debris getting at the heavy duty drive system which reduces maintenance.

Loadial

The new easier to read loading indicator makes loading any bale simple: line up the indicator to correct bale position, back in and load.

Divertor valve

Our divertor valve is a safety feature and allows the X5000 to be used behind tractors with just 2 double acting remotes.

High tensile chassis

The X5000 round and square bale feeder is built to handle larger bales and has an impressive strength to weight ratio, achieved by using high tensile steel and larger section members. We’ve done our homework and put the steel where it’s needed, not in case it’s needed.

6-stud axles

Our 6-stud axles are the strongest on the market giving you longer life and more load capacity.

Massive ground clearance

The X5000 bale processor is has the more ground clearance allowing you to operate on rugged terrain and with the clean underside of the chassis there is nothing to damage or get snagged should you belly out.

Single post drawbar

The single post drawbar design has set the benchmark in feeder maneuverability and tighter turning. The drawbar is fitted with built-in road-legal safety chain mounts and an adjustable height towing eye.

Swiveling towing eye

The heavy duty 12,000kg rated forged towing eye has 50mm height adjustment to suit different size tractors. It rotates 360°, making feeding out on uneven terrain trouble-free.

Heavy duty parking jack

New heavy-duty parking jack has an oversize mounting for a positive lock and safety. To allow for tighter turning, we’ve added an extra mount on top of the drawbar for stowing the jack.

Flotation tyres

Extra wide 13/55-R16 flotation tyres are standard equipment for less compaction in wet conditions.

Mudguards

Mudguards standard keep your feed clean and dry when traveling between paddocks and reduces feed spoilage when operating in muddy conditions.

Total control loading

The single hydraulic ram of Hustler’s Total Control 2 loading system makes loading faster and prevents bales falling on the operator during unwrapping. A bigger tyne frame provides extra support for soft or square bales.

trailed bale feeder qrc-grips

QRC grips

Another industry first from Hustler! Quick coupling grips make connecting hoses easier and the colour coded for easy coordination.

round bale feeder rotors1-350x151

Rotor teeth

Many hours of research and development have gone into the shape of the teeth to makes them clean easier, and have more aggression on tight bales. The X5000 has 5 teeth per rotor to provide extra grip on soft bales.

Hose Holder

Hose holder

Requested by farmers and unique to Hustler balefeeders, the drawbar mounted hose holder keeps the hydraulic hoses out of harms way, reducing chances of downtime. The X5000’s hose holder has provision to hold the hoses when the bale feeder is not in use.

What our customers are saying

Glenn Anderson

“It’s saving us half a bale a day!”  (25% of their feed costs.)

Glenn Anderson, Tasmania (Australia) - Chainless X5000/TX205
Steve Synclair X5000

“This is twice as strong or more! It’s just built to do big bales, it’s designed for that kind of weight we’re throwing into them nowadays”

Steve Synclair, Stony Creek (Australia) - Chainless X5000/TX205
Tim Richards – X5000

“Not only has it saved me an hour and ten a day, I’ve also cut back a bale.”

Tim Richards, Kentucky (USA) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“I think it’s 100% better than the last model, teases it up a bit better and feeds out 100% better.   The old one seemed to chuck it out in chunks and this one seems to tease it up a lot better, the whole chassis and everything is just a bit bulkier”

Beef Farmer, Waitaki Valley (New Zealand) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“as it’s feeding over the top you can see that the main part of the bale just wants to stay down, you can tell it’s not going to block.  Feeds out beautifully, very happy with it”

Dairy Farmer, Fish Creek (Australia) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“We were able with this machine to limit-feed our cattle rather than free-choice our cattle and it really helped us stretch our hay supply through the entire winter. Not only did it do that, but it allowed us to feed hay throughout the pasture and spread ferti

David Fiske, Virginia Tech, Raphine (United States) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“The results here are alot more gentle, so it will feed out the way we like it”

Lorne Zentner, Consul, Saskatchewan (Canada) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“It’s a lot smoother with how it rotates the bale.  I’ve tested it on hills, going up hills and down hills, whereas my old machine used to, more so coming uphill it wanted to throw the bale out of the back of the machine, out of the cradle but the X5000 keeps

Dairy Farmer, Victoria (Australia) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“The Chainless X5000 is a credit to Hustler. It has been well thought out and very well built. The company has achieved its goal of building a machine that will feed out virtually any size or shape of a bale, of almost any type of feed.”

Cricklewood Angus, Tahaenui Station, Nuhaka (New Zealand) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“The feed out side of it is 100% better the way you’ve changed it”

Dairy Farmer, Cobden (Australia) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“I have to say the new Chainless X5000 bale cart is fantastic and a great improvement on the 4000, we have noticed a big difference in the amount of hay we are feeding out and reduced wastage”.

Ella Anderson, University of Tasmania (Australia) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“The CHX5000 has performed well in our operation, as a bale unloader in our bunker silo where we load the hay directly into our feed trucks as well as unloading big bales directly into fence line bunks.”

Mark Mahnken, Missouri (USA) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“The machine’s been fantastic, we’ve been looking around for a long time for one of these and now the drought’s come, we really needed this to feed our sheep, it’s been very convenient, and works very well, excellent.”

Sheep Farmer, Queensland (Australia) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“It’s been a great machine for our farm.  We make 250 bales of silage each year plus I buy in hay, and it’s taken all the manual labour out of it, it’s been a great machine.  It saves my back, it doesn’t ache so much anymore”

Queensland (Australia) - Chainless X5000/TX205

“I’ve got 150 R2’s in this mob, and every one of them has got a fair go at it and there’s no trampling at all”.

Phillip Harper, Carew (New Zealand) - Chainless X5000/TX205
scott charmley 1

“It’s been a great machine, we’ve had no problems with it in 10 years.  I’d highly recommend one”

Scott Charmley, Dannevirke (New Zealand) - Chainless 4000

“It’s been really easy to use, having only been here three weeks”

Philippa Joblin, Ruapuna (New Zealand) - Chainless X5000/TX205
Mike Moretti

“Very happy with it. It’s basically a one-man operation and a very safe piece of equipment. We used to take 2 guys to go out and feed hay, and now we can do it with one employee or myself. And we use less feed, we don’t waste as much as we used to”

Mike Moretti, California (USA) - Chainless X5000/TX205
