We visit McLennan Holdings in Meander, Tasmania, who recently replaced their Chainless 4000 with the all new X5000. Having trialled other traditional bale feeders before settling on the Chainless X5000 we decided to catch up with their farm overseer, Callum Broomhall to find out why.McLennan Holdings is milking 300-400 cows in the dairy intensive area of Meander and are feeding out 500-700 bales each season into troughs on the feedpad and general feeding out in the pastures.

“it just makes life at least 10-15 minutes quicker every day, and there’s definitely not as much wastage”

Before choosing the all new Chainless X5000 Callum and his crew decided to trial other brands of chain-type cradle feeders but the decision was easy. “we used a chain feeder before, but it wouldn’t feed into the feedpad, so this one it a lot better for us”

Local Accredited Hustler Dealer Tasmania Farm Equipment is pleased to provide McLennan Holdings with their new Chainless X5000 feeder and provide farmers throughout Tasmania with the full range of Hustler Chain and Chainless bale feeders, Softhands, Sprayers, the new Comby range of silage and bale feeders, and provide market leading support, sales and service.
