Chainless mounted square & round bale processor.
The top of the range Chainless mounted square & round bale processor feeds every type of square or round bale and has been proven on more bale types than any other bale feeder and it minimises feed waste. It’s self-loading with a patented, hands-free quick hitch system, that makes connecting the feeding cradle to the headstock quicker and easier. Downtime is eliminated with very low maintenance and no wear parts.
With the Chainless system, say goodbye to troublesome feed chains! This key advantage ensures a dependable, low-maintenance, and noise-free feeding process by keeping things simple.
Instead of conventional feed chains or flails, this system employs a robust hydraulically driven polyethylene platform that gently feeds bales through two low-speed rotors. The rotors tease the hay, resulting in virtually silent and dust-free feeding, preventing air filter clogs, keeping grease points clean and prioritising the comfort of your livestock. With a complete drive and shaft system operating on bearings rather than bushings, it reduces wear and moving parts, offering minimal maintenance, less downtime, and an extended service life. This ultra-low power requirement can save up to 60% on fuel compared to PTO-powered machines and enables it to be used with even small tractors.
The Chainless system has been developed to future-proof your operation, being able to handle all bale types and shapes, round or square dry hay to wrapped bales.
The shape of the two 3:1 low-speed ratio rotors, coupled with an innovative wiper panel preventing materials building up, and the curved bale platform design improve penetration, making it efficient even with dense, sticky, rotor-cut or frozen bales whether they are round or square. The bottom axial rotor ensures an excellent grip on both tight and loose bales, simplifying the feeding process by keeping the bale centralised while feeding it out. The large bale chamber broadens the range of bales it can handle, minimising the need for constant platform adjustments, making it easy to use by all-skilled operators.
Chainless also preserves the forage by gently teasing it apart with its unique 3:1 low-speed ratio rotors. This process avoids chopping or grinding the bale, leading to several benefits.
This system ensures total control over the size and length of the feed windrow, whether you’d like it thick for bigger animals or narrower for young heifers or sheep. The nutritional leaves are not separated from the stems, and the hay is not pulverised or lost as dust, making it more palatable for your livestock, easier to consume without competition, ensuring even access to the feed for the whole herd. Potential mould in a bale is separated without mixing, ensuring cattle consume fresh, clean hay. Our customers report remarkable reductions in mineral supplement consumption, up to 80%, and up to 20% less hay consumption for the same live weight gains, all with the same bales. As you get more control on where and how much you’re feeding, you can save up to 40% of your hay over the season!
The Hustler’s patented Snaplox™ system automates connecting and disconnecting the headstock integrated bale tines to and from the bale feeder, guaranteeing an easy and hassle-free operation.
Instantly disconnect the headstock from the bale feeder, use the integrated tines to load the bale onto the feeder, and instantly reconnect the machine for feeding, without the need to get out of the cab or to tug on a rope to make the latching system work, reducing strain on your back. As the hydraulic system sits on the headstock, you don’t need to touch the hydraulic hoses during the loading/feeding process. Snaplox™ also allows you to mount your Chainless bale feeder at the rear on a three-point linkage or at the front on a front loader, telescopic loader, skid steer loader for added versatility.

The addition of a new Axial Rotor with centralising paddles keeps the bale positioned in the centre of the feeding chamber to minimise wastage and provide better grip on soft bales.
Hustler’s proven polyethylene platforms with ribbed design keep bales tracking straight and with 30% less friction than steel it reduces drag on the bale which makes feeding out sticky bales easier and it will never corrode. The mounted Chainless bale feeders platform has been made wider to reduce waste with sloppy bales.
This minimises blockages and ensures that hay drops outside the wheel tracks to avoid being flattened into the mud. A quick-release latch releases the wiper panel for easy cleaning.
Hustlers’ unique oven-baked Armacote system is applied to a sandblasted finish ensuring long life, durability and a premium quality finish.
A quick release latch releases the wiper panel for easy cleaning.
Many hours of research and development have gone into the shape of the teeth to makes them clean easier, and have more aggression on tight bales.
The Chainless Side Chute, deflects the hay into a trough or bunk. This only available on any of our Mounted Chainless Bale Feeder Range.
We’ve used specifically designed forged bale spears that pierce the bale rather than pushing it and are longer which reduces bale sag even with the wettest of bales, another innovation from Hustler.
High mounted connection latches on both sides of the feeder take the load off the cradle, which removes any load from the bale spears. This provides a more reliable, positive connection to handle the heavier bales. This has been tested to handle.
We’ve made one tyne longer than the other for quick and easy alignment when reconnecting the cradle. You’ll only need to line up one tyne, then back straight in.
We’ve protected the motor from coming into contact with the tractor tyre, which can save you costly downtime and repairs when your tractor has short linkage arms.
We’ve included two grab bars, so you can tie the square bale strings to the platform. This saves the operator having to remove the strings before feeding out.
We’ve eliminated troublesome bushes from the drive system of the Mounted Chainless Bale Feeders, this reduces maintenance, increases service life, reduces the need for frequent greasing and saves you a whole lot of frustration.
Built to take the heaviest of bales, and last longer with less wear.
The headstock design allows for optional loader mounts to be bolted directly to the frame, allowing the feeder to be operated on a loader or telehandler. This provides hay and fuel savings when using the Mounted Chainless LX104 or LX105 Bale Feeder for feeding into bunks, TMR mixers, and hay rings.
The position of the new platform design is adjustable to suit any bale type you may need to feed out, from the worst of miss-shapen bales to the tightest-packed square bales, the Mounted Chainless Bale Feeder handles them with ease.
Increases bearing, sprocket and chain drives all designed to handle heavier bales, with less to maintain. Available only on the mounted Chainless LX105 Bale Feeder.
The Mounted Chainless LX104 square & round bale feeder with its huge new Monocoque Chassis is the toughest on the market and is now rated to handle 1,250 kg (2,755 lb) bales.
Most of the savings are achieved by a reduction in the amount of bale which is wasted.
Feed wastage can be caused by various factors:
1) The bale is not teased apart enough making it harder for stock to eat.
2) Animals laying or trampling on fodder.
3) Unfinished bales inside ring feeders due to poor ground conditions, not allowing animals to reach the leftover bale.
4) Stock rejecting feed because of dirt, mud or other contaminants.
Savings can be made by feeding the right amount of the bale and retaining the rest for the next feed. By feeding over a larger area compare to a ring feeder, there is less competition between the animals.
Typical savings achieved by using a Hustler Chainless bale feeder are between 15-40%, depending on your existing feeding system (chain feeders typically save 10-35%).
