Hey guys, it’s Jayden here with Hustler Equipment. And I often get asked, how is the Hustler methodology really gonna save me money for my feeding operation?
And it’s pretty simple to look at it this way. If you’re feeding now with let’s just say a hay ring, you might be wasting twenty five percent of your hay. So let’s just say that if you’re buying a hundred bales, you might as well be burning twenty five of those bales. And if you could cut that waste down to two percent with by putting it out in a fluffy windrow in the field, you’re now gonna only be burning two of those bales.
That gives a twenty three bale difference over the course of a hundred bales. And if each one of those bales is worth $100, that’s $2,300 right there in the bank. The second thing I like to point out is the operational costs. So you can see I thought I would demonstrate this with our biggest feeder the RX218 a bulk feeder triple axle and you can see here just like any of our machines it’s 100% hydraulic so there’s no PTO no need to be revving the tractor up to 2,500 RPM trying to beat up those bales all day long you’re gonna burn probably about a third is what we find of the fuel in a day.
And the other thing is is you can use a smaller tractor this way you don’t need all that horsepower going to the PTO. And the third thing I’d like to point out is maintenance. So here we are in the RX218, this massive bulk feeder. This unit would take the most amount amount of maintenance out of anything on our line and you can see that’s very little.
We just have a big push point that comes forward. There’s no chains on the floor just a hydraulic ram pulling that forward. We’ve got roller chain feeding out to an elevator chain. Little bit of grease.
Grease up them bearings and you’re good to go.
