NC Equipment was founded as North Canterbury Equipment in 1965, and taken over by the current owners Gerard and John Bassett in 1990. They came from farming and mechanical backgrounds which provided the experience as well as a shared passion for machinery.  6 members of the next generation have now joined the company and continued the tradition of being a trusted provider of assured quality equipment, trusted experience and world class service solutions to the farmers and contractors of New Zealand and beyond.

Forging strong, trusting relationships with the farming community over that time has made the business what it is today; strong, respected and valued for its ethics and honest and trusting family values. They’re located on State Highway One in Amberley, with an impressive well presented facility and service workshops. The core of our business is buying and selling of all farm machinery, both new and used sourced from both NZ Manufacturers and Overseas.
