Stony Creek Farmer Finds Hustler Bale Feeder Wins on Reliability

Published 11th June 2017

Doug Hanks milks 440 dairy cows and runs 300 head of beef cattle in Stony Creek, after having tried most brands of feedout cart¬†and found them unreliable in the past he thought he’d give Hustler a go. Read on to see what he has to say 5 years down the track…

Doug feeds his herd between 1500-2000 bales each year depending on the season, some being 4′ x 4′ balage bales and the rest 6′ x 4′ round hay bales. He’s particularly pleased with the reliability of the SL700X double bale feeder (this model is now called Unrolla TX205) over the past 5 years, having not needed any parts replaced or money being spent on it since the day he purchased it.

“Nothing has compared and has been as reliable¬†as

what the Hustler has been, and we will definitely

be getting a Hustler the next time we trade up

Doug is also very pleased with the stability of the SL700X (Unrolla TX205), compared to the other trailing bale feeders he has owned in the past “it just doesn’t want to tip over like the other ones, it sits on the ground very firmly”. He is also pleased with the accuracy and reliability of the loading system, adding that “it sits every bale in the wagon, in the exact spot that it’s supposed to be.”

Doug is rapt with the service and support he receives from his local Accredited Hustler Dealer, Gendore Tractors and Machinery¬†Gippsland’s largest supplier of new and used farm machinery with over 60 years of local experience providing farmers with quality, market-leading machinery at the right price, and an unbeatable reputation in service.
