How to feed out round bales with a Chainless bale feeder in 3 simple steps

How to feed out round bales with a Chainless bale feeder in 3 simple steps. After loading a bale, follow this simple guide for successful feeding out of round bales with Chainless balefeeders.

Feed out with 3 simple steps:

  1. Lift the platform to the recommended starting heights
  2. Then start turning the rotors, ensuring the bale rotates.
  3. Lift platform to keep pressure on top rotor.

Note: Do not turn rotors before lifting platform

Tip #1: For loose or soft bales, lift platform higher than normal
Tip #2: Vary rotor speed to alter feed pattern – slow for thin, fast for thick or start stop for feeding in breaks
Tip #3: Travel speed can be varied to alter feeding pattern too – Some sheep farmers who like it very thin travel between 10-15km/h
Tip #4: Feather rotor speed for the perfect windrow
Tip #5: Only lift the platform 4-5 times per bale – you shouldn’t have to be continuously adjusting the platform height. Once the bale is turning only lift the platform to put more pressure on the top rotor
Tip #6: Reverse rotors to break up tight core bales – it is not recommended to reserve for more than 3 turns. Only reverse the rotors to break the crust of very tight bales.
