Round Bale Feeder For Sale in Australia

Think back on those old photographs of farmers working together in the fields, using pitchforks and other primitive tools, by today’s standards. The work was challenging, demanding and necessitated many hours of physical labour. Things have changed considerably on farms throughout the world. A round bale feeder is a common sight during the harvest months, but while we have certainly moved forward from our ancestors’ times, this does not mean that we should stop to innovate and find new ways to further improve how we work.

The Preeminent Round Bale Feeder on the Market Today

At Hustler Equipment, we started out over fifty years ago and our 3rd generation family business continues to go from strength-to-strength. Why? Well, because of our tireless commitment to innovation and change. We appreciate the convenience of a round bale hay feeder but we keep asking ourselves and those who we manufacture our machines for if there isn’t another way that we could approach the design or functionality so that more was achievable.

To date, we have locations in 4 continents and thousands of farmers are using our round bale hay feeders every year, simply because we have delivered a more versatile, efficient solution that reduces the time required feeding and minimises the waste created.

We believe that our round hay bale feeder is the best in the business since it is designed to feed out the bale in a much smarter way. Twin drums turning at different speeds result in teasing out of the bales, as opposed to other systems that simply unroll them into messy clumps, the majority of which ultimately goes to waste.

How To Save Money and Gain Efficiencies on Your Farm With Round Bale Feeders

There are never enough hours in the day to get everything you want to achieve complete. You may be looking for a round bale feeder for sale right now because you know that you are losing a lot of time every day because of the machines that you use. Every additional hour that you spend feeding costs you somewhere else. Here at Hustler Equipment, we are motivated to give you every chance of getting through the day and looking back feeling that you did as much as you possibly could.

Think about the farmer who has an expansive plot of land that they need to traverse every day so that all of their livestock is fed. If they are not using round bale feeders for cattle or sheep and can only carry single bales at a time then they might have to make nine journeys throughout their feeding time just to take the feed from the shed to the different fields.

However, with our system, one bale is teased out, another is already loaded and ready to be doled out once the first one is gone and if you can carry a bale on your front loader, then your feeding time is reduced to a third of what it once was. This smart approach to the round hay feeder system has made huge savings for plenty of farmers, some of whose stories you can hear via the video testimonials readily accessible on the site.

How Much a Hustler will Save You?

Most of the savings are achieved by a reduction in the amount of bale which is wasted.

Feed wastage can be caused by various factors:
1) The bale is not teased apart enough making it harder for stock to eat.
2) Animals laying or trampling on fodder.
3) Unfinished bales inside ring feeders due to poor ground conditions, not allowing animals to reach the leftover bale.
4) Stock rejecting feed because of dirt, mud or other contaminants.

Savings can be made by feeding the right amount of the bale and retaining the rest for the next feed. By feeding over a larger area compare to a ring feeder, there is less competition between the animals.

Typical savings achieved by using a Hustler Chainless bale feeder are between 15-40%, depending on your existing feeding system (chain feeders typically save 10-35%).
