New sprayer launched at Agritechnica in Germany
Caffini Spa is one of the most important Italian manufacturers of sprayers and this year is willing to present its new range of self-propelled sprayers, introducing its: “Striker”, a winning range with tanks of 3000 and 4000 l. and with booms of up to 36 m. The Striker fulfills all the needs of large scale farmers and contractors, providing greater efficiency and higher performance, using the most advanced technologies available on the market today.
The Striker has quieter and more efficient 6 cylinder engines made by Perkins with 145, 185 or 225 Hp. The transmission is hydrostatic with the componentry being produced by Bosch-Rexroth The traction control, final drives, pumps, brakes are designed specifically for the Striker and supplied from the German factory. The traction control and independent hydro-pneumatic suspension on all 4 wheels ensure the maximum stability and traction in all working conditions.
The speed from 0 to 40 km/h has 3 different driving positions and with a double braking system, in either hydrostatic or mechanic on the front wheels, ensure maximum road safety and has an automatic driving system.
Wheel track is adjustable mechanically from 180 cm to 225 cm or from 225 cm to 300 cm and optional hydraulic track adjustment of the from the cabin whilst on the move. Standard with 4 wheel steering reduces the turning radius on headlands.
Striker has 3 choices of ground clearance: 150 cm as standard equipment or the optional 130 or 170 cm. Striker is a very versatile self-propelled sprayer that it can be used in many crops, like cereals, maize, horticulture.
Striker is equipped with a large forward mounted cab, with suspension seat and a passengers seat, with climate air conditioning, ISO standard carbon activated filters The driving controls and spraying distribution controls are very intuitive with a multi-functional joystick that it’s integrated in the armrest and with an auto rate spray computer.
This product is the fruit of the long experience achieved by Caffini in 90 years of producing sprayers. The hydraulic booms are equipped with suspended parallelogram and variable geometry. The sprayers is equipped also with large mixing hopper, 300 l/min piston/diaphragm pump, trijet nozzles, two rotating tank rinsing nozzles to clean the inside of the main tank, optional GPS control with automatic section control or automatic individual nozzle control, automatic self-leveling and boom height control and the semi-continuous cleaning circulation system.
Caffini will be officially launching the STRIKER at Agritechnica in Hannover (Germany) from 10th to 16th of November 2013. Production of the sprayer will be available early 2014.
